Catherine lives near Perth and writes in a range of genres. Her short stories have been published by New Writing Scotland, Scottish Arts Trust, Leicester Writes, Firewords, Postbox and others. Flash fiction has been published by Bath Flash, The Phare, National Flash Fiction Day, Flash 500, Best Microfiction 2025 and others. Longer work has long/short listed at the Caledonia Novel Award, Exeter Novel Prize, Kelpies Prize and others. She recently completed an MLitt in Creative Writing at Stirling University and is represented by Al Guthrie at The North Literary.  Catherine is very honoured to be the 2026 Scriever and is looking forward to supporting the work of the Federation.
